Years ago when people thought about American citizens they thought about George Washington, Tomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin. Basically, they mainly thought about politicians. Presently, when people think about American citizens they probably think about Martin Luther King Jr., Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, Oprah Winfrey, or Donald Trump. Over a period of time people have become attached to entertainers rather than politicians.
Back in the 1800's people generally thought either about politics or agriculture. Now-a-days people are more interested in entertainment rather than politics. I think this has happened, because politics have become less interesting. I think politics are less interesting, because people have shifted their focus to other things. These are things such as technology, education, and finances.
